Panels built with Danfoss drives
Gross Automation is a distributor, an engineering group and a UL 508A listed panel shop under one roof in Brookfield, Wisconsin. Danfoss drives and PLCs are the core drive and controller line the shop builds with.
Panels we build
VFD and soft-starter panels
Drive and soft-starter panels, including multi-drive line-ups.
Pump and lift-station panels
Simplex and duplex pump control panels and municipal pump-station packages.
Motor control
MCC assembly, including repeat multiples, and starter panels.
Build-to-print
Your design, assembled with all or part of the components supplied by you. Batches run from a few panels to several dozen identical cabinets for one program.
SCCR
Rating the panels we build, and helping customers rate theirs: fuse and breaker choices for the rating you need.
Enclosure work
Cutouts and machining in NEMA 4X stainless steel and fiberglass enclosures.
Engineering
- Electrical design and documentation. Schematics, panel layouts, bills of materials, I/O lists, terminal maps and as-built drawings, as part of a build or on their own.
- PLC and HMI programming. Danfoss, ABB AC500 and Freelance, WEG, Beijer and Siemens.
- Start-up and commissioning. On-site commissioning of the panels we build, service calls and PLC troubleshooting.
- Retrofits. Obsolete drives replaced, with the programming carried over where it can be.

- cULIndustrial control panels certified for Canada, CSA C22.2 No. 286, under the same file (NITW7).
- ISO 9001:2015Quality management system certified by SGS.
The certificate's scope: "The design and manufacture of electrical control panels including engineering services and the distribution of electrical components."
